The Globe & Laurel restaurant is located only two miles south of the National Museum of the Marine Corps (which is open from 9 to 5) and a half mile from Quantico's back gate.  It is a smoke-free restaurant.


DIRECTIONS FROM I-95
Take Exit 148 to U.S. Hwy. 1 and travel south for 1/2 mile.  The Globe & Laurel is on the right.

CHANGE IN LUNCH MENU - late breaking news:
Instead of soup and sandwich, a lunch buffet will be served, including tips of beef tenderloin or chicken parmesan served over noodles, fresh salad, green beans almandine and chocolate pudding.  Price did not change. 


FROM HOST CHAPTER:
Col Jim Brown, USA, Ret, President of the Heritage Virginia Chapter, provided brochures and info at previous VCOC meetings this year.  Heritage chapter is our host chapter for this VCOC meeting.

DOES NOT INCLUDE LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE BREAKOUT SESSION (they met 10 June at Ft Lee) 

VCOC WILL VOTE ON STATE LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES for 2011 (VCOC recommendation to JLC).  Legislative Reps received the ballot and background info to work with their chapters and return a ballot to VCOC Legislative Co-chair John Clickener, before the meeting (ballot about priority order).   

INCLUDES PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE (chapter Public Affairs Officers (PAOs) for special discussion about how to do public affairs (media) well.

DISCUSS possibility of a VCOC Long Range Planning Cruise, Oct 2011.

PREPARATION: 

Each chapter submit VCOC reports by July 1st (don't forget to use new format) to John Baumgarten (3rd VP) and Jim Rose (Secretary).  Reports cover 2nd Quarter (April through June).
